TAC AU TAC

Gourmelin takes part in Jean Frapat’s TV show ‘Tac au Tac’ (literally ‘Quick As a Flash’) in a kind of graphic competition where several designers must improvise an ‘exquisite corpse’ (‘un cadavre exquis’), a game first invented by the surrealists. This very popular early evening show is broadcast between 1969 and 1975 and Gourmelin is invited to take part several times, along with Cardon, Gébé, Fred, Serre, Soulas, Desclozeaux, etc.

Un cadavre exquis pour Tac au Tac (An Exquisite Corpse for Tac au Tac), Balland publishers, with guest appearance by Gourmelin, Gébé and Cardon.

Jean Frapat’s only book published by Balland.
