ILLUSTRATIONS OF GREAT TEXTS

On countless occasions, publishers have invited Jean Gourmelin to illustrate texts from Victor Hugo, Arthur Rimbaud, Guy de Maupassant, Lovecraft, but also Pierre Benoît, Julien Green, Claude Klotz and Jacques Sternberg.

He has also created many covers for books whose authors’ worlds were close to his: Franz Kafka, Jean-Paul Sartre, George Orwell, Jacques Bergier, Louis Pauwels, Robert Sabatier, Philippe Soupault, Pierre Cabanne, Frédéric Vitoux, Julien Green and Yvan Audouard.
