Meet

Albert Flocon (1909-1994)

A French engraver of German origin, he is, like Gourmelin, close to Gaston Bachelard. In his works, he goes beyond the classical perspective to develop a curvilinear one, in which he spherically arranges a multiplicity of vanishing points. Oddly, his human characters seem to be released into a world both unlimited (because of the infinite number of directions) and reassuringly circling around itself.
