After having received the instruction of Georges Gurdjieff in Eastern occultist philosophy, he went further by joining forces with Jacques Bergier to publish Le Matin des Magiciens (The Morning of the Magicians), a considerable but controversial success.
Jean Gourmelin worked for Louis Pauwels at Planète until the 70’s, his drawings published on the cover or as illustrations in most of Planète’s publications.
