Walter Lewino (1924- )

As a journalist and newspaper quiz specialist, Walter Lewino worked for France Observateur, L’Express, as well as Le Point and Le Nouvel Observateur where he was also the editor of their cultural guides (Le Guide du Point and Les Rendez-vous de l’Obs). In 1973, when Le Point created a summer games supplement, he asked Jean Gourmelin to join him, and the latter not only illustrated his games and rebus but also Pierre Berloquin’s riddles.
